The Mara river in Tanzania is a long river that flow into lake Victoria. The river is located in the migration path of the mammals that passes from the Serengeti reservation in Tanzania to the masai Mara reservation in Kenya. The organization “Nile Basin Initiative” in cooporetions with Kenya and tanzania goverments initiated two reservoirs, the first at Noera area by the river Amala and the second in Boregna area by the Mara river in Tanzania.

Geotope-Levin performed geological survey for Tahal group for the Purpose of feasibility, suitable location of  dams, sampeling and characterizition of materials.
