Kibutz Heftziba is located in Harod valley at the footstep of Mt. Gilboa. Hard and massive
dolomite layer of Sachnin Formation located at the upper slope, induce unstable large blocks, which tend to fall along the slope toward the Kibutz. This risky situation for structures and residents has been analyzed by geologists and geotechnical engineers to suggest a relaible solution to reduce the risk to minimum.
Numerous analysis using RokFall software has been performed for the design of comprehensive system of energy absorbs nets and embankments.
